Wired Vs Wireless

Using the latest technological advances, our residential security systems are either wired or wireless.

Wired

A wired alarm security system connects the sensors (e.g. PIR detector, door contacts) to the control panel via a network of wires (concealed within the walls and floors of your home) and then to the outside world (if required) using your home’s telephone line or a mobile phone network.

Wireless

Our graded wireless security systems are installed utilising the most advanced wireless technology. Such systems can use a multitude of sensors (throughout the home) than communicate wirelessly to the central control panel. Such systems involve a straightforward installation process and can be applied in difficult settings such as hardwood or tiled floors.

Types of Residential Intruder Alarm Systems

At MSS, we have designed three systems specifically for the residential homeowner. Each home security system is simple to use whilst inspiring confidence that your property, family and possessions are protected.

Bells Only

Our bells only security systems rely on high volume sounder usually located on an elevation of your property. This activates when an internal detection device is triggered. However, this type of alarm does not alert the police of the intrusion but, will notify yourself, neighbours or even a passer-by.

Speech Dialer

These home security systems incorporate an additional device being connected to the alarm. When triggered, the system immediately notifies all nominated parties with a pre-recorded message to notify them of the activation.

Monitored

MSS ‘monitored’ security systems are connected via a telephone line and/or mobile network to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). The system is monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by the centre. If the alarm is activated, the monitoring/receiving centre will instantly contact the keyholders or Police (depending on your monitoring package).
